Toby McLaughlin is a Sandpoint native and 1992 graduate of Sandpoint High who came home in late 2006 to join Bill Berg in the new law firm, Berg & McLaughlin, Chtd.
After earning his law degree (and an MBA) from the University of Oregon in 2002, he joined Witherspoon, Kelley, Davenport & Toole in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene. There he focused on real estate law, civil litigation, creditor’s rights and white collar criminal defense.
In Sandpoint, he has expanded his practice to include civil litigation, real estate law, guardianship issues, personal injury, contract disputes and small business issues. He is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Idaho and Washington and in the courts of the Spokane Tribe of Indians.
Prior to entering law school, Toby earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Idaho and worked as a systems engineer at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL).
He is interested in all things outdoors – skiing, wakeboarding, hiking, camping, soccer, biking, traveling.
Toby lives on Baldy Mountain and enjoys the company of old friends and his busy family. Dad is a real estate broker, Mom is a nurse practitioner, his sister is a real estate agent and his little brother is a high school teacher.
